About Me

I have fished nearly my entire bipedal life. By the age of 3, I was fascinated with fish and began chasing panfish with a zebco 202 combo off my grandfather's dock in northern Minnesota. Since then, I have added more rods and fly rods to my arsenal than I care to think of. I've worked as a flyfishing guide and deckhand in SE Alaska during college; and, have fly-fished Alaska, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Florida Keys, and Slovenia. I operate a 22-footer on Lake Superior in the summer to keep my remnant Alaskan seamanship skills sharp (the wild native lakers, steelhead and salmon in Superior are so tremendously cool). I have a college degree in wilderness management. And, when I'm not fishing I'm writing specifications and serving as a sustainability representative at a Fortune 500.
